It seems Warcraft’s publisher, Activision Blizzard, subscribes to the proverb of not putting all eggs in one basket. This week, the esteemed company has undergone a substantial restructuring, combining departments and reorganizing senior managements .
The restructuring sees Activision split into four distinct units. Blizzard remain an independent unit, while the team previously responsible for the Guitar Hero franchise has been folded into a combined department for internally created properties such as Tony Hawk. A third division will handle licensed properties, while the fourth will develop Call of Duty titles.
Jobs in the UK and European marketing and IT department has been let go, and another fifteen jobs were already shed in the US.
